End the Fed
By jbcobb | October 7, 2009
It is interesting that the Federal Reserve, which controls the money supply of the United States of America, has come under very little scrutiny during our present financial crisis. Yes, we all know about Ron Paul’s House Resolution 1207, but who else out there, in either the mainstream media or among the political elites, is asking the difficult questions regarding the monetary policy of this secretive organization.
You do not have to be prone to conspiracy theories to begin to wonder why there is no transparency, supposedly a primary goal of the present administration, of the very important decisions and actions of the Federal Reserve. How can an organization that the government protects from prying eyes, is given carte blanche to manipulate our entire economy, and has done such a woeful job of protecting Americans from financial crisis, is above reproach?
Dr. Ron Paul addresses all of these issues in an entertaining, if skullduggery can be entertaining, and informative fashion in his latest masterpiece, End the Fed. You will not regret reading this book, and you will never look at economics in the same way, ever again.
